At Sunnybank Hills State School we provide a Student Resource Scheme for all year levels.

2025 cost of the SRS:

Prep - $130.00 (all resources provided no booklist)

Year 1 - $150.00 (all resources provided no booklist)

          Years 2 – 6 - $65.00 plus booklist purchased by parents

What is provided by the Queensland Government?

The Queensland Government supports 's education by providing funding for instruction (teachers), facilities (school grounds and buildings, internet), and administration (staff to run the school). Funding for schools does not extend to individual student resources such as textbooks, equipment for personal use, and many items used by the student in the classroom.

The purpose of the scheme is to provide parents with a cost-effective alternative to purchasing numerous textbooks, resources, consumables and subscriptions, through reduced prices gained from the school's bulk purchasing processes.

The scheme operates under the policy and guidelines of the Department of Education and is approved annually by the P & C Association.

Items provided by the scheme could include:

  • Reference materials, printed to compliment and or substitute for textbooks
  • Reprographics, other than classroom materials and workbooks
  • art and class supplies
  • stationery
  • consumables and cooking materials
  • access to Mangahigh, Seesaw etc

A parent who does not wish to join the scheme is responsible for providing their student with the items that would otherwise have been provided by the scheme.

Not Included – Optional school activities such as excursions, camps and performances.

Payment Method – an invoice will be emailed to parents at the beginning of the year.  Payments can be made by:

  • QParents
  • BPoint
  • Eftpos at the office school days before 10am

Booklists

Parents are asked to provide a bookpack for students in years 2 – 6.  These are usually sent home at the beginning of  Term 4.

Currently we have an agreement with SchoolStuff to supply our needs. You are able to order online and either pick your resources up at their shop or have them delivered to an identified address of your choice for a small fee.
