Sunnybank Hills State School has an extensive school sporting program.

Whole school sporting activities include track and field, and cross country. In the younger grades the focus of these programs is skill development and participation. As students get older this focus remains, however students who excel have the opportunity to represent the school in a variety of sporting areas for interschool competitions.

For track and field and cross country the students compete in four houses Banjora (blue), Biaga (red), Nurranja (yellow) and Pinyali (green) for annual trophies.

Interschool sport

Students in years 5 and 6 have the opportunity to participate in the Sunnybank district inter-school fixtures seasons. In summer (semester 2) we participate in afl, cricket, softball, teeball, tennis and touch. In winter (semester 1) we participate in basketball, football (soccer), netball, and rugby league.
